Q: Do you cooperate with Canonical?
A: No, but some employees seem to be interested in Yunit.

Q: Do you have or actively search for a sponsor?
A: No, but it would be nice if we could have some dedicate hardware. Probably something that could be sufficient to cover both our and UBport’s needs 😉

Q: Do you collaborate with UBPorts?
A: Yes! We are collaborating with these wonderful guys! We know that they are currently working in private, but we don’t have any further details so far.

Q: Will you switch to Wayland?
A: Most likely yes, but not completely nor directly, our current plan is to modify mir to act as a Wayland client  and this is what UBPorts is currently working on.

Q: When a stable release of Yunit will be out?
A: We don’t know. By now all the commits are minor fixes and updates, we have to understand code and get used to it before estimating how long will it take to do something. Then we may answer this question.

Q: I’m not a developer. How can I help you?
A: We are afraid that at the moment there are little tasks to do for non-developers. However we highly appreciate your desire to help and we thank you for your support. In any case, a lot of testing, translations and user documentation will be needed in the near future, so stay tuned and remember from time to time to drop by and encourage us to continue.

Q: I’m not an expert in that field, but may I suggest that…?
A: OK, but please keep in mind that you might distract us from other, probably more serious issues. 🙂
